Privacy

This page says plainly what SINHELA News collects about you, why, and how long it is kept. It was written from what the software actually does, not from a template.

No cookies

As a reader you are given no cookies at all. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising network, and no third-party analytics.

The only cookie this site issues is the administrator sign-in session, which belongs to the site owner and not to you.

Visit records

When you read a page we record the page, the country, the city, the language, the kind of device (phone or computer), and the link you arrived from.

Your IP address is never stored. It is combined with a server secret and hashed — enough to avoid counting the same reader twice, and not reversible back to an address.

These records are deleted automatically after 730 days.

Comments and reactions

If you write a comment, the name you type and the comment itself are stored. The name is whatever you choose; a real one is not required.

The same hash described above is used so that one person cannot react twice to the same story.

The email list

If you gave us an email address, we keep that address and the language you chose. Nothing else.

You can leave at any time, using the link below or by writing to us. Once you leave, the address is no longer used.

Where your data goes

The site runs on Cloudflare, so they see requests to it, and the country and city come from them.

No reader data is sent to any other third party. We use Gemini to write articles and Meta to post to Facebook, but both see article text and nothing about you.

Your rights

Write to hello@sinhela.com to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.

Visit records cannot be traced back to you (they hold only a hash), so they cannot be singled out and deleted for one person. Email addresses and comments can be.
